Eligibility Criteria
To apply for an OSP License in India you need:
1. A Private/Public Limited Company
To apply for an OSP License you must have registered Private Limited (Pvt. Ltd.) or Public Limited (Ltd.) company. (Ask your CA for more details if you are unsure about this)
2. Choose your type of operations.
There are 2 types of OSP license, one for International call centers and one for Domestic call centers.

Do I need an OSP license?
OSP license is required for companies providing services like call center, tele-banking, tele-medicine,
tele-education, tele-trading, e-commerce, network operation center
and other IT Enabled Services, by using Telecom Resources provided by
Authorised Telecom Service Providers (ISP).
How long is the OSP License valid till?
Your OSP license agreement is valid for a period of 20 years and it can be renewed in the 19th year for 10 more years.
How much time does this application take?
The complete process from filing your application to getting the OSP license takes about 3 months.
Once you file your application, the DoT will issue you a ‘Letter of intent’ within 2 months, post which you will have to furnish bank guarantees, After filing bank guarantees, the DoT takes about 40 days to issue you your OSP license.
